He was born on 12-8-1953 in Anandanvilai village, Sathankulam taluka, Thoothukudi district, as the son of Goddess Thangapandian, Goddess Kasimani Ammal. He was interested in paranormal medicine from an early age and worked as a doctor in that field. He joined the Hindu Front in 1982 and started his social work. From the time he was in charge of Sathankulam taluka in the early days he was due to go to the Hindu Front in all the rural areas. Learned RSS setup tutorials. Gradually he took over as district vice president from district responsibilities. He toured actively to grow the Hindu Front in the Southern Districts.In the subsequent assembly elections, he contested from Sathankulam constituency as the BJP candidate backed by the Hindu Front. In 1990, during the rule of Mulayam Singh Yadav, Ayodhya was arrested while on his way to Rama Janma Bhoomi Kara Service and spent a month in Gorakhpur Jail. He later took charge as the State President of the Hindu Front and toured all over Tamil Nadu, leading various movements, demonstrations and protests in all the districts.
15 were arrested and lodged in Palayankottai Jail for protesting against the naming of Dindigul district as Gaidemilla.He was arrested while on a pilgrimage condemning the misconduct of the Thiruchendur temple administration and was lodged in Palayankottai jail for 5 days. He also won a six-day hunger strike to set up a Ramakrishna Higher Secondary Education Center in Udankudi.
