In June 1980, the state general body meeting of the RSS was held in Karur.It was preceded by a letter from Karnataka. The RSS state organizer of the day said that conversion would take place in the village on the Virudhunagar side. Surya Narayanan had received the news. It was during that period that proselytizing took place in Meenakshipuram.In the midst of it all came the news that Christians were conspiring to turn Kanyakumari district into Kannimari district. When searching for evidence, Christians told the church to write to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith wherever the mail came from.
Letters were coming in the same way. The conspiracy they made to establish that this is the Virgin Mary District!
An attempt is being made to convert 1 lakh people to Islam in Ramanathapuram district.
