Angsana Temple
Rameswaram Ramanathaswamy Temple is located at a distance of 500 meters from the Valaruntha Anjaneyar Temple. Anjaneyar went to Kasi in search of a Shiva lingam to dedicate and worship Lord Rama.History has it that the Anjaneyar who came after him tried to remove the sand lingam with his tail and then the Anjaneyar's tail was cut off.
In that sacred place, with the help of Kanchi Paramachariyar and the Venerable Sri Haridas Giri Swami, Mr. Ramagopalan ji made a zealous effort to create the Anja Nair in the fig tree and roamed all over Tamil Nadu. Later in Dhanushkodi many crores of Rama Nama prayers were offered and the fig Anjaneyar was consecrated at the present place and a small temple was set up. Currently, the temple is under construction. 108 lantern pujas per month in our temple.1008 Lantern Puja is also held on Hanuman Jayanti.
Special classes are conducted for 10th and 12th class students studying in government schools in our temple. A cultural class for boys and girls is also conducted during the summer. In addition, various service activities such as blood camp and medical camp are being carried out. The Annathanamadam is located at the back of the temple. On the ground floor of the monastery, alms are given daily at noon with the aim of satisfying the hunger of the Rameshwaram pilgrims. The first floor also serves as a shelter for travelers from Tamil Nadu and other states.
